Caitlin Hettich was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She received her BFA in Sculpture for Rhode Island School of Design in 2010 and is currently working on an MFA in Sculpture from the University of Memphis (expected Spring 2015). She is presently exploring ideas of ornamentation, death, and the death customs or rituals preformed at one’s passing. Hettich lives and works in Memphis, Tennessee.
